Duff 02 sensor

did ecu diagnostics over the weekend and the first of the 02 sensors came back as faulty, light was not flickering, didb't even come on.

In the near future thinking of decatting the exhaust and wondered where the sensor lives in relation to the cats.

How easy is it to replace the sensor and whats the cost/best place to purchase.

Any help appreciated.

Mark, give me a call m8 wink.gif I've got a drivers side one that is just lying around. I did my passenger side one and this is one hell of a job.... Almost ended up leaving half my hand stuck down in the engine bay biggrin.gif AFAIK the two sensors are the same just with different length leads but if you fetch the car round I'll give you a hand cos there's a couple of things to check b4 ripping the car apart wink.gif

Let me know....

Hello Mate,

just replaced my passenger side o2 sensor, I bought it from courtesey Nissan for about £80 in all. Then you can get an oxygen sensor replacer ( special tool ) for about a tenner, I got one but found it still didn't fit without removing air con pipes.I don't know if the nissan one you can get from courtesey fits any better. The tool I found to do the job best is a 22m crows foot with an angled drive two extension rods and a great torque wrench. Hope that helps you and Happy New Year.

Mark thanks for the advice, Andy you can bet I'll take you up on that.

Did a bit more reading on the subject and what confuses me is that it didn't show up on the engine diagnostics - that scored 55. It only showed when I went on the O2 sensor diagnostics and it was not flashing.

When I did it the car was fully warmed up so it wouldn't have been the heater - does this narrow it down any?

Thanks in anticipation

Mark
