If anyone that is a fair distance away wants, we did say about a cheap hotel near Santa Pod in the previous thread, we could meet up the night before for a drink and a curry so theres no early morning drive there its up to you guys.

Nice one bud. I'll have to let you know nearer the time though.

It aint to much of a journey for me but beer and curry sounds good, we stopped at a little B&B in Wellingborough earlier in the year that was cheap and cheerful or theres a Travelodge type of place, either would be good for me (The Travelodge shares a car park with a pub :duffer: ;) ).It would be an ideal opportunity for a few of the lads to met and have a few beers.

Im deffo up for a night out.

What Steve said :D

darren

Darren,

Its not so a track day, jst a ¼ mile drag!

What you need is..........

£10 to get in

£15 to run your car down the strip (unlimited times on a RWYB)

Your driving liesence

A foot pump (if you are going to lower your tyre pressure)

A can of fuel (incase you run low)

and removal of brain! :D

Neil, an N/A 300zx is a Normally Aspirated 300ZX(ie no turbos)

The day we have picked is a Public Test Day so anyone can attend in any make or model of car.

HOWEVER! the concept of the N/A day at the pod was to encourage some first time drag racers along in N/A cars with the understanding that they would ONLY run against similar N/A cars.

I am going to give some tips and advice on the day to anyone who wishes to listen. This will be for the benefit of complete newcomers or " Pod virgins". Chunk will be on hand also with advice/encouragement/tips etc. as both of us are regular pod people with a fair understanding of Santa pod and quite a bit of racing experience.

The club has put up some trohies, which will be given out on the day.

So all club members are welcome to what I hope will be a fun day.

You Neil, and anyone else for that matter are welcome to listen to our advice n tips. But we wont have any TTs lining up with N/As.

Nothing to stop you having your own run offs tho.! Fastest TT of the day etc! Red vs black!!??

Or anyone who just wants to turn up and see wot its all about? Thats OK too.

Give you an idea for next season maybe?? Or put you off for ever(unlikely)

One thing is sure tho.... If you dont come ... you will never REALLY know wot its like.

If you are a bit shy, quiet etc you dont even need to decide til the day. just let Chunk or me know when you arrive. We are easy to find.... Chunk is the fat git in the wheelchair and Im old, grey n nearly bald!!

JUST BE THERE!

BTW... We will only publicise times and speeds of those who wish to have them published. And any adverse /innapropriate posts after the event WILL be moderated.

I'm gonna have to miss this one out guys. Its just a bit too far away for me and ive got bills etc to sort out first. With the way petrol prices are at the mo it would probably cost me about £4million just to get down there. Maybe next time though.

Scott

Thats a shame Scott, but i do totally agree!!

See you next time buddy
