I did my own credit check on the computer for 4.99..

all estate agents want inbetween, 150-200 pounds to do this and they have to do it...

then if your self employed they want an accountants number I says well my dad does my books

all they need is for the accountant to say yes he earns so much...

but my dads not an official accountant SO thats to awkard for them

I says well why dont I just bring my books/ in to show you how much I earn...

quick and simple hardly any paperwork

wwooo dont know about that she says..

WWHy the feck cant they work simple in this country...

you would think I wanted to borrow money of them

not give them mine! I can understand some things but some just seem so awkward its unbelievable..

YET IF I WAS A DRUGGY SCUM DOSSER Id get it all for free all bills paid and

no credit check nothing,..

(note to self...Get out more steve)

oh its a racket all right....compulsory insurance...cleaning bills when you move out taken off your deposit...i sued a landlord over a better-ment....he thought his 20 year old carpet with a fag burn should be replaced as new by my deposit for £700....haha...nope judge thought the carpet was worth £20 when damaged by us which is what he got...less my costs meant he got f all

tell me more mate

so theres going ot be even more costs there going to slowly drop on me as we go along compulsary insurance etc

whent hey said two months up front thats fair enough, thenthey want 175 for a 4.99 credit check

and now more??

offer them 6 months rent in cash upfront and no costs or BS and you'll do your own h/hold insurance ...or you'll walk to the next agency...if you aint got the cash then i guess you're over the barrel...!?

so basically just tell em well do our own house insurance

chris? ;)

yeah...dont see why not esp if it's fully accident damaged included (covering any landlords fixtures n fittings or furniture)...just get a copy from the ins co to give to the agent / landlord...who could want more? apart from a swindler hell bent on having your money in their account or getting fat commissions from over priced insurers...

sorry ranting a bit..:)

your not ranting your expressing the truth...

We rent at the moment and I am self employed, went through exactly the same shit, I puulled the chequebook and offered 12 months up front and she STFU. I would say take pics of every room in the house as have know people to be billed for damage that was there when they moved in. Have gone down the buying route now, tho getting a mortgage is not simple either.FFS

hey not all landlords are ripoffs lol

but i must admit most of them are, there is an letting agency in sunderland that asks for a 500 quid non refundable deposit, and thats before they pull the eyes out of you for everthing else

actually i think this bloke comes back for the sockets lol (of your eyes)
