all depends on the speakers i think they sound really good now but the original ones were foooked!!

each to there own really... i am still thinking about fitting some tweeters in the doors but to be honest my 6x9 are quity capeable of producing enought high notes..

ive put 6.5" 3ways in the back and am currently fitting 2 12" subs in the boot

Mine are probably the best you can fit. JL Audio XR 3 ways, but took me a whole 9 hours per door to get in. I would put some Nice 6inch components in the stock locations.

I think resolution speakers will drop straight in.. apparently theyre the best..

For best sound quality your better of fitting a pair of high quality 6.5" components in (with the tweeters mounted at the top of the door), then backing it up with sub in the boot.

I installed 6.5" components the weekend just gone.

I got Alpines which came with sandwich plates for up or down sizing. I drilled out the spot welds securing the stock speaker mount to the door speaker panel and just screwed the sandwich plate in place. Then screwed the in new speakers.

It also came with various tweeter brackets- mounted them in the top of the doors but I have noticed that with the windows up you get much more treble reflected than with the windows down! If you mount the tweeters on the dash you may not have this problem, but it's a bit more tricky to do neatly as you can't get under the dash without a bit of effort.

Need to upgrade my rear 4x6s to 6x9s to fill out the bass. Won't be going with a sub- need the boot space! :slap:
