Allthough you may be interested to know the out n out racers remove it

 

But then i am biased as ive removed mine and its 10times better now :dance:

its just that i was on the motorway and i totaly lost it. luckily i controlled it back into place. it was heading straight into the barrier thank fuk for 265's. i was only doing 50 50 miles. i didnt even put my foot down or turn hard. when i drive in the rain it feel like its slipping. is this normal? or is this because of the hicas system?

1st things first:-

I had an experience in the dry that made my mind up about it...

Changed from the middle lane to fast lane with a little throttle and the fookin thing went into oversteer and i counter steered it and went the other fookin way quicker than you can say bollack

 

Any part of the car that does something i havnt asked it to do is a nono for me.

I got shot and can now negotiate chicanes much faster with a controlled oversteer other than the unpredictable hicas

But there are some on here that would beg to differ

 

Being an ex Motocross racer and Kart racer i know plenty about over and understeer and HICAS is definately not there to optimise the handling.

Its there for those that arnt used to a big car with big power to negotiate bends thinking there better than they are but when you get right on the limits it shows its weakness

When the HICAS is working there's nothing actually wrong with it (though I have removed mine). If you have problems then the end arms are probably knackered and will need replacing even if you remove HICAS.

I also find that a good set of tires make a world of difference in the rain

just done a search and alot arent too keen on the hicas. i want it to handle like its on rails and not to be scared as i drive it in rain near other cars. lucky it wwas 14.0 in the morning

Good Point there...i forgot to mention that...lol

Check the tyre rating, if the car is an import and is still on Jap spec rubber they are notoriously bad in wet weather, also they should fail a UK MOT as they are not the correct standard for UK fitting, I suspect many import cars are still on the wrong rubber compound, check and change them asap.

I think HICAS Rocks .. Takes a bit of time to get used to it but any high power motor will kill ya if you let it. I used to have an RS500 3 door rear wheels did more steering than the front with no HICAS. You can't drive these motors like 1.2 corsa's
