8 Months off the road and now she is back got a few pics and a new spec

Its nice to be behind the wheel of my Z again. After blowing both turbos and a piston last year I decided a new spec would be in order.

 

Here is the new spec and what I have done/replaced on the car in the 8 months off the road.

 

(Engine spec)

 

Wiseco 88mm forged pistons with teflon coating (rebore to suit)

Ported and polished heads + new exhaust studs

Nismo 555's

JWT 530BB sport turbos with split down pipes

I made up my own twin stainless 5" exhaust system with flamer kit :)

Unothodox racing pullys

Custom FMIC

Twin Trust intakes with custom install

Uprated stainless rad pipes

Howe aftermarket alluminium rad

Polished plenum, rad pipes, CAS, Throttle bodies, Rocker covers, Balence bar, Fuel filter, Boost pipes and induction pipes.

Painted cam covers and throttle cable cover

Smithy braided Fuel lines

SFS performace silicone hose used where needed

Fidanzar lightened flywheel

RPS paddle clutch

Uprated pivot ball

Braided clutch servo line

HKS ssqv Blow off valves

NGK iradium plugs

Cleaned all the water ways and replaced all the core plugs

Crank regrind

Oil pump

Big end and main bearings

O2 sensors

knock sensor and loom

ECU harness

Socketed ECU (thanks MrP)

Series 2 PTU

New head studs

New valve springs

Valve regrind

Lifters

Water pump

Cam belt

Cam belt tensioner

Removed EGR, AIV, cruise control, aircon, carbon canister, Hicas.

Sold my 18's and bought a set of Fox rs 19" wheels

Nismo 60mm front wheel studs

10mm packers

Full Hyperflex Bush kit

Tein super street, springs and dampers

New hand brake shoes

New front cross member as the old one had rotted in half

N/S front wheel bearing

Moved the oil cooler to a Side vent on the front bumper for more flow to the engine due to the FMIC

Stillen HICAS eliminator bar

replaced rotten fuel tank straps

Redline gearbox and diff oil

Short shifter

Replaced rotten fuel lines :shock:

Fitted a new aero fuel cap due to the last one leaking

Had the engine bay sprayed to match the bodywork.

I made up a stainless powersteering pot, fuse box covers

Custom install which I have yet to finnish. All I can say is you have got to hear these subs running wow it flex's the tailgate and rear bumper, bounces the windscreen wipers off the screen and makes breathing an effort when sitting in the car :tongue:

Had an 1800 xr2i whilst the Z was off the road was a great car but not match to the Z :smash: :)

It is indeed beautiful in the metal, love the exhaust note, and would love to see it go once it's been run in mate!

 

It got a LOT of attention but nobody seems to know what the hell our cars actually are!
