Reckon the MR2 is a lot lighter so better power to weight ratio (dont know what they put out) but compared to the Z they look like they are a bit girllie....know whatI mean?

Off the line the Mr2 turbo just has it, but mid-range and top end the zed kills it.

Early MR2 Turbos were 220BHP and later models about 240. I found they are easy to launch because of the light weight and also the fact that the weight of the mid mounted engine is pushing the rear wheels down on the ground. If you drop the clutch in the same manor in a Z you will just light the wheels. If you have mastered the the launch in a Z then it will just have the edge.(doesnt apply to those with granny boxes:x:) ) Z's definitly got more mid range and no competition at the high end. MR2 are great fun but dont forget your scissors :rofl:

its just a lad who works with my step dad keeps ranting about

the speed of his car(MR2 Turbo), and just wanted to know the score before

i did hear that an mr2 turbo does do a quicker 1/4 mile than a 300 TT, but then try and get an mr2 to stay with you mid range power.

 

anyway a zeds a WAY BETTER CAR :D
