Just thought I'd stick a phot on here. Was quite shocked at actually how big a piece of engineering they are. They are from a 19k r34, the seller had just upgraded to a shiny expensive stoptech kit. Mind you he was thinking of selling and buying a Zed to finance a house extension (I'd rather sleep in a tent!). If anyone notices anything unusual or missing please let me know, I already need to order the mounting bolts and drill the holes on the car bigger.

Cool, I only got the front setup.

How do the rear discs fit with the funky rear handbrake on the Z ?

Can you mount those rear calipers easily on a Z?

Never seen it done before...

The only bolts you need to mount the front ones are the original Skyline bolts which are a bit longer - there's no drilling to do on the front, they just go straight on ;)

Yes the rears go straight on. Well they did on mine.

Is the handbrake system not affected then?

I've never looked at it in great detail.

Doesn't that depend on which brakes you have ? R33/R34 are the same, but R34 V-spec are different ?

Sure that John Dixon said the bolts are a size larger.

Not sure about that then.

Mine are R34 V-Spec front calipers and I just used the standard skyline bolts that the guy gave me off his car.

They are longer than the Z bolts.

OK, cool, that would no no enlarging the carrier holes.

Ream them out with a Dremel and use some big self tappers.

Not the best advice i've ever heard! :nono:

Yep, had to drill my hub carriers out to 14mm to take the bolts. R33GTR are the same dia (12mm?)

Are the standard brakes really that bad?

Mine seem fine?

Am I a driving like a wuss?

Or are most brake set ups on Zs suffering from age / abuse?

Those Skyline ones sure look awesome though! My mate who DOES drive fast (matches me on a Honda SP-2 in a diesel Skoda!) says big brakes are the best performance upgrade of all!

Think these are a normal r34 ,i thought all the r34 ones needed drilling. I'll let you know when i start ripping things to bits!

Got them at last! 750 smackers, knocked down from 800. Figured it was worth it as they have only done 19k and the pads and discs have life in them for a bit.

yup...sounds about right bud....they look lurrrrrrrvely

least you got a full set (front rear) :nana2:

Just dont go putting really good pads in the back or it'll be coming round before you know it ;)

750 is a very good price for all 4 corners!! from a R34GTR!!

Well done buddy!!

Now, do you park your car on a drive or in a garage at night! :D

In the drive, oh and you'll need one of those curly locking nut things................. oh and ten men to take me down!lol :nana2: :hyper: :mac1:

I know people don't always reveal the prices they got but I thought it would be handy for others who are looking. Thanks to Howsie off the skyline forum for coming down in price a bit (payed for my optimax driving all afternoon to pick them up). He had a bad burn to his leg and was obviously in a lot of pain, he had to keep lying down to let the blood flow! ouch. He said he'd have a look on here as he likes the Zeds and might get one. Nice bloke (I would say that mind!). Dave
