Ok guy's put your heads together for this if you would please.

Sorted the battery problem, (see last post) On removing the battery i found an air pipe which come's from a tee peice on the left hand side of the motor, tucked down behind the battery which goe's no-where, it appear's to have a small metal fitting in the end, kinda like a boost jet or a bust off alloy nozzle and i can't for the life of me see where it come's from. Any idea's??

Also, i know the boost guage in the dash is inaccurate, but should it be showing 14 psi on boost?? Could it be this far out or doe's it sound like boost jet's are already in there??

looks like boost jets to me

Bleed jet, piping looks very similar to SE / Nistec set up.

As Jeff says mate, i had the same set up when i bought my Zed many moons ago from a guy who always used SE. On the plus side me car was quick and on the downside, me rings were mashed within a year of ownership  and that was on a brand new 6.5k short engine from Nissan with only 25,000 miles on the clock

whip it out and stick an electronic boost controller in instead.

SE???? can someone please explain SE? Are we saying boost jets here?? i thought they were under the indution pipe's towards the front of the motor!!

And is this fitting in the pipe where a boost controler would take it's readings from then??

Mmm... from my experience some of the chip installs done at SE were little more than a boost increase with a very slightly modifies chip that runs too lean and even worse in some instance just a boost increase and no chip upgrade just the timing retarded a few degrees......hence very fast but for a short time only, this is what I have seen myself in small instances and is not a general overview of work done by SE.

However Steve I would get the chip mapping looked at on a ConZult and get a check on the actual boost level you are running with a seperate tempory test gauge, just to put your mind at rest if nothing else.

SE is SE Nissan aka Nistech a well known nissan garage, now defunct

I alway's thought it was bloody quick, good idea to get the chip mapping and timing checked though. Nothing in all the documentation i got with the car state's any such work has been carried out but then i suppose your more likely to sell a good standard car than one that's been messed about with.

Anyone in the Worcester area got conzult?? or is it gonna be a trip to Z world in Tanworth?

also seen se setup with a boost increase to 18psi and timing retarded 5degrees so you your turbos and injectors are maxed out at 1bar so lets retard the timing by 5degrees so its the same as running 1bar anyway DOH
