I don't F*@#ing BA$£*@# beleive it!!!!!!!

I had to go over to Birmingham yesterday for a important meeting with one of our bosses. So I thought I'd take the Zed over, and give it a run (as it hadn't had one this week), had a loverly drive down to Karens on Tuesday evening, then set off down the M69 on Wednesday morning. A really nice drive down the motorway, then onto the M6, missing the rush hour. Then turned off the M6 and onto the back roads, just came off a roundabout, and found I had no drive, in ANY GEAR!!!.................. AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats only three weeks after I picked it up, following a £1200 gearbox rebuild, to cure this exact problem in the first place!!

Well it's back at the garage that did the work, so i'm now waiting for the end result!

I wasn't best impressed, as I'm sure you can imagine ;)

FFS Dave,

Sorry to see this again!!

I hope that the garage that did the work do a better job this time.

All the best buddy

You really do need a manual box !

I have one for sale that could do with the 4th gear synchro replacing, but it's gotta be better than a shagged auto ... ;)

this was what caused me to get rid of mine in the end and the poor guy that took mine it went on him as he was on his way back to cardiff in it.....was it not for the dogy gear box i wouldnt have got rid

sh*t, sorry to hear Dave :(

Why does it seem that everybody is having Autobox problems right now !?

manual conversion

Hot weather being a factor Dave? As much as I like auto, glad I'm not getting one!

'kin hell dave, not again!!-do you reckon it's the same problem[linkage] or worse?

Hope you sort it bud! ;)

you need a fast road design which is the best autobox available, and not only improves drivability, bit longetivity to!

manual is the way forward though, and TBH other than a clutch you normally get trouble free driving

hope its all ok though dave

regards

Thanks guys.

Its defo not the linkage again, thats been fine since my local Nissan garage sorted it out. Incidentley, they were very helpfull, and 'seemed' to know what they were talking about ;)

This is the original fault that I had in the first place, of no drive through the box. Anyway the guy had it on the ramps yesterday, and should be phoning me this morning about it, would be nice if he can sort it for tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.

TBH, I'm wishing that I'd gone for the manual conversion, but now having spent all that money I can't just write it off so soon. (the money, not the car ;) )

What a suprise!!!!! I didn't get a phone call  So I phoned them this afternoon, and the same story as yesterday afternoon "it's on the ramps, we'll call you on Monday", "But you said that yesterday?" I said, "Yes, but we've been very busy today"

So what was the point of saying that they'd ring me today, if other work has got in the way  Well they'd better have some news on Monday, otherwise it'll be a trip to the local CAB/Trading Standards!!

Afterall, how long should I have to wait for an under warranty repair to be sorted?

Thanks guys.

Dave,

After getting through 2 boxes and 2 torque convertors, spending shitloads, I got so pissed off with the 'Auto weak crap piece of shit box' that I did the manual conversion for this very reason.

I am sure it can be very reliable but the amount of problems I had it just isnt worth the hassle. At the end of the day, it is down to preference but I tell you one thing, I'll never own an Automatic car EVER again.....FACT!

try another garage ?
