Le Mans details at last ...

Finally got everything through. Details are was follows :

Included in package will be ferry crossings, general admission to the circuit, access to the Motor Racing International hospitality marquee which includes interviews with various drivers throughout the race as they debrief their drives (really interesting). Also decent showers & toilets (which, for those who've been, is a major plus). One other major bonus is that if there are any other major British sporting events, they tend to show them in the tent (last year included England / Germany football).

There is an excursion to the Arnage corner which costs £12 and must be booked in advance. This is away from the main grandstand area and gives a great view of cars braking from around 180 mph into a sharp right hander - glowing brake discs & everything ! I'll book this if people want it.

I've got two prices depending on whether we camp inside or outside the circuit. Warren tells me that inside the circuit is better (nearer the funfair / karting / etc) but outside is near to the hospitality tent so less of a walk to the decent toilets.

Price inside the circuit is £154 and if we're outside the circuit is £149. Price is PER PERSON and is based on two people sharing a car. Prices are not guaranteed at the moment because the Le Mans organisers haven't yet confirmed entrance cost but it's unlikely to change significantly.

My intention is to book for 8:00 am Dover - Calais crossing on Friday 15/6 and return around 4:00 pm from Calais on Monday 18/6. From personal experience, it doesn't matter when you turn up to Dover or Calais though - if there's space then they'll let you on the next ferry (and, in my experience, there always is - but that's NOT a guarantee!).

I'll then send you my details so you can let me have deposits of £50 per person. The balance will be payable around April time.
