I have a 91 jap 300 TT auto. It has about an inch or so play in the stearing. Is there anyway to take up the slack and make the stearing nice and positive?

Cheersz. BTW thanx to the lads at PPS for chat at the weekend.

If the play is at the steering wheel then the lowere steering coupling is worn, quite common, also an MOT failure, cost is around the £100 ( Nissan part only) fitting is simply a case of undoing and removing the locking bolts and replacing with the new item and locking back up.

Check the rear drop arms too, the track rods from the rear rack, there is a ball joint inside the end that wear's, mine failed on that, once replaced it felt like a different car.
