Well after spending hooooooooooooooooge amounts of zedtonions on a decent skyline gtr brake upgrade i figured I needed a brake brace to match.

Ive seen the strut braces with one built in and liked the extra strength this had over the normal brake braces around but was looking for saving weight in the future and already had a strut brace so I needed a seperate unit.

Well my engine buildng buddy was good enough to spare some of his time on saturday to design and make one up for me in the name of bLiNg

He chose an all alloy machined body with a pivoted Stainless Steel pressure plate to ensure maximum and even spread of pressure onto the brake cylinder but no wear on the piviot point.

The brace has a right angled ridge on it to stop any flexing or twisting on the mounting location as it applys the force to the strut mounting.

Above all its bLiNg

lol...

The plenum is basically the inlet manifold...

sits on the top of your engine...

but i think you know that and are just pulling my leg  ...lol

I must say tho. on a more seery ar5e note. It is a rather strange name. When I did first see it as a thread title I had to look twice and see what the fook it was all about. since then tho' I have give mine a good rub once or twice.

I dont need to know what you do at home mate  :x: :nelson:

"Plenum" is adapted from PLENTY........in vinny,s case "rub" adapted from have a w*nk

Say it as it is Mr Psycotic. I often knock one out on the way home. Plenty rubbin' going on round here.

Just wondering if the brake brace puts a lot of strain on the master cylinder?

How are you GTR brakes compared to stock Z?

Cheerz.

Not really mate....(depends on how tight you set it  )

All it does is stops the whole unit(air servo and master cylinder) from being pushed forward when you brake hard.

It meerely takes out all the excess play in the system and mounts to give you a more constant feel to the pedal...It doesnt actually improve the brake performance...its just for the firmer feel and no play.

Afterall if you fit decent calipers/pads and hoses then every little helps ;)

Being delivered/fitted this week bud so hang tight.... :smash:

I will be carrying out some little tests to see what the difference will be for things like 60-0mph and 100-0mph and will be posting the results up.

Allthough i expect them to be an instant improvement over the standards I think they'll be noticably more effective on a serious session of track time.

##EDIT##

Results for you to see if you click me!!!

All it does is stop the bulkhead flexing as much.

I think he made a few up the next day as he already had the machines set up....if any peeps are interested lemme know as this is purely a one off ;)

These might be being made up if any peeps are interested?????????????

Will put up a seperate thread if interest is shown

you know i am

id be up for one!

All it does?? Ummm exactly what it's designed for. Why so negative Mr P?

Negative, what's negative about that ? Statement of fact, it doesn't improve the braking, but it may change the feel slightly.

Exactly as stated ;)
