I know what most would like to believe but which is REALLY the quickest? Could it be so close it would simply be down to who gets away the best?

I don't know about the NAs, but a Supra Turbo is definitely quicker than a TT zed. Not much, but it is quicker. I think the former does 0-60 in 4.9s, whilst a stock SWB TT zed does in in 5.2 (the 2+2 TT is around 5.6s I believe).

 

So take your pick really. I prefer the looks of the zed, but it's all a matter of taste.

It's very true. When you're talking about cars performing at this level so much of it depends on the driver. One thing's for sure though: there's no way *I* could personally do 0-60 in my TT in 5.6 seconds. :)

Nova,s are pretty quick...........rollin off a cliff!! Who gives a toss!! Whats the odds of n/a 300 and n/a supra that are both actually stock, same age, same miles, and so on caus engine wear and all that would never make for an exact comprison. I.M.O :cool:

was recently speaking to someone who had a zed TT and ALSO a supra TT, he says that after driving both cars he didnt think there was any difference!?

 

did say the supra was a bit more modern inside though.

Try and get a newer zed. Poopra's have crazy frog eyes.

There are rumours that the Supra which was given to the journalists at its launch was not a standard one and was infact more powerful than the one you would buy.

 

The official stats I have seen say the Supra is 4.9seconds 0-60 but the articles I have read where they actually test out the cars speed and not take the manufactures word for it, it was no where near 4.9.

 

Most car magazines showed virtually no difference in 0-60 or at the most 0.1 second.

 

I also read a web site of a person who owns and races a 300ZX TT and Supra TT in the US as an amature.

 

He ended up crashing his 300ZX at over 100mph and he walked away. He felt that if he crashed in the Supra that he would have not been here today or he would not be walking.

 

I personally think that the 2 cars a virtually the same.

I have seen no mention of what Mk? supra we are talking about. If we are talking MkIII then my mate has got a N/A and a single Turbo. IMO. Niether would do a 300ZX N/A.

LOL, I think the question was N/A not TT. MkIV N/A supe is quicker than the Z one but as said not by alot and on the road down to the driver. Supra has build quality in abundance over the Z and doesnt require the AA to follow you:D

 

TT's ? owned both, stock? Supra is quicker, ......modded, who knows, depends how much you spend. Cost of getting the same HP is much less on the poop than the Z though.

the rumour i heard was that Toymotor had to redesign the mk3 soop purely to be a Z-killer. and although not quite a Z-killer i think its probably a little faster. (and looks like frog pooh)

well even if the poopra is slightly quicker a Z looks way sexier. No way i'd sell the Z for one.

Reliabilty tho is a completely different matter!

0-60 for a stock N/a Supra manual is 6.6 secs auto is 6.7.
