29mpg with a modified engine. Not bad

Went to Essex and back this weekend to go to a cousins wedding. Took my time getting there and back, but also did about 40 miles of not going below 80 and 30 miles or town driving and still managed to get 29mpg out of her :D

 

 

Maked the very bed smoking problem even more of an enigma

    Mine costs a quid per 5 miles. Thats 50 50 ragging it and going easy. Does it consistantly every weekend doing 250 odd miles on the motorway. Anyone know what that is per gallon?!!

    Yeah, I thought I was doing well with 26.5 on an un-modded TT. Quoted extra-urban mileage is only 28. 29 is almost rude. :)

    Last night I put £20 of optimax in the tank and used it all in about an hour! But wow what a great time I had doing it:) Usually though its quite good on fuel when i'm driving normaly, not that MPG is an issue for me as its second vehicle.
