Rim Codes

The markings on the alloys (standard) caught my eye today, i seem to have a mixed bag, ive got three with the code L40P05 and one with 40P00R. I guess i've got three left hand alloys and one right hand, whats the difference between a 40P05 and 40P00, or is it just that one is for left and the other right. I know the alloys are supposed to help cool the brakes, is there any other reason that means you shouldn't have a left on a right and vice versa?

    Having the handed wheels fitted correctly avoids comments like ... "nice car mate, shame about them wheels"..etc :nono: :rofl:

     

    You are correct about the air to brakes bit BTW the slots are handed to aid airflow to the brakes. Look at them and you will see wot I mean. ;)
