Right here we go again; whilst attempting to re-leather the Zed in a fantistic shade of yellow; we got to the drivers door..................and the fookin thing will not go down. I can hear a clicking so i guess the switch is working so do i just go ahead and order a replacment motor or is there another path to solve the problem. :)

Thanks chaps :duffer:

sounds daft but i guess you have checked its pluged in snuggly

Common problem, there is a small black box located in the drivers door this is the control unit for the auto window, this will be the problem, holding the switch down and banging the door with the flat of your hand in the middle normally makes the window go down.

Remove the door panel, remove the black box and disassemble, then where the connection pins are mounted on the pcb you will find a dry or broken soldered joint, warm with an iron to reflow the solder thus remaking a good connection, works everytime.
