We recently have determined that different computers have logged onto your Online eBay Banking account, and multiple password failures were present before the logons. We now need you to re-confirm your account information to us. If this is not completed by 48 hours, we will be forced to suspend your account indefinitely, as it may have been used for fraudulent purposes. We thank you for your cooperation in this manner.

I had that one about 3months ago bud...

I sent it to spoof@ebay and was confirmed to be dodgy.

More people on the con

it is indeed a fake ebay email. You'll find that the actual link in the email, although displaying the above ebay address in the email, will infact redirect to a fake ebay site.

Any Email from Ebay or any other secrure site like it will never in any way ask for your log on details. (NEVER) there are facillities for doing this and they are actually on the website itself. So yes it is a con.

always be careful when they ask for yopur password - I had a guy try and sell an item that wasn't even his ! in a seciond chance offer straight after auction ended.

I reported him, but authorities won't/can't do anything about it. Ebay can close his account, but they can easily re-register. Like most things, there's more conmen than police.

fake

i've removed the URL you included even though it seemed to point to ebay, best not to try and spread this muck with any links included

its called phishing

very dangerous

report it to ebay and the police.

Paypal has similar threats. just delete on site.

I also get similar emails for various banks (none of which Im with) everyday, telling me I need to verifiy my account details.

oh dear oh dear :(

If Ebay ever need to contact you they put a message in your "my messages" bit on your ebay account. I should know i had a lovely message from them;)

Yep Ive had one recently supposed to be from e bay and asking me for my credit card details......
