This is my first post to the forum. Please excuse my lack of technical knowledge (and my English).
Problem:
I have a tt with the following mods: hks evc5 boost controller, Blitz Sonic induction kit, Nisstech reprogrammed ecu, Nisstech De-cat 3.5 inches exhaust system. A few days ago I changed the Nisstech back boxes and put Cobra instead (possibly allowing greater gas flow). However, since then I can hear a weird noise that sounds very much like detonation. It is really difficult to understand if it comes from the engine bay or from the back boxes (due to the loud exhaust). Is it possible that it can detonate just because of changing the back boxes? I had absolutely no detonation-like sounds with the Nisstech back boxes. The noise occurs even at 0.5 bar of boost. Same noise at 0.8 and 1.0 bar.
