How do people get on with their gracer/scarab front bumpers?

As above! I'm in a quandary (don't get to use that word too often!) now that Luke can't get the urethane scarab front bumpers! Do I go for the improved looks (imo!) of the scarab in fibreglass or the better durability of a Stillen gtz-r?? Hmmm... what do I do? I want to lower my car up to 35mm - how do those with the scarab get on with stone chips - grounding out etc.? Is the fibreglass bumper easy enough to reposition once you've taken it off, and is it very expensive to fit (as I understand they require a bit of work)?? Lots of questions and I've gone and hogged a couple of new threads to myself! Bit greedy, really!!

Only way to go with a front bumper is.......URATHANE IMHO!

Mine has done over 20K miles and has battered over every speed bump I can find and does not have a single crack in it;)

BUT...

Has anyone actually broken their fibreglass one? I don't know of any!

They are very tough and you can buy 2 for the price of the Stillen which doesn't look as nice anyway! :D

PaulG took a nice lump out the first week, then he took another lump out at the PPS photo shoot, you would not know as your car does 7 miles a year

From my experience of a fibreglass Scarab, it will clear anything but the harshest speedhump/cushion, but it's too low to clear normal kerbs, and can cause trouble too on steep ramps. If you're gonna lower another 3.5cms then I think that's gonna result in lots of diagonal driving :D

As for strength, I've scraped mine over a couple of things over the years and it will cause some scarring/flaking, but usually nothing that can't be touched up. Basically it comes down to how careful you are.......
