I have got to share this rant with you:

 

Over the weekend I purchased another car (for everyday use) Yesterday the insurance certificate turned up so went to th PO to tax it. I noticed that the Log book (green) slip was filled in OK but the date of tranfer was a day earlier than I had got the car? So I changed it from 30/07/05 to 01/08/05. Only fair seeing as I didnt own the car until then. NO WAY? the lady said behind the counter, You cant use this now it's been altered. I explained why but still she refused to allow me to tax the car. She asked me to produce the whole log book? I cant because now-a-days the buyer dosent get it. Sorry she said thats tuff, I will have to wait until it comes?

(I had with me the bill of sale from the garage)

She advised me to put the car on sorn. I called for the supervisor and got the same reception. " Its not us that makes the rules it's DVLA and we aint allowed to let it go". I went outside and phoned DVLA form my mobile and was told by them that it is entirely at the PO's discretion?

 

I went to another PO miles away and they didnt bat an eyelid?

 

What is that all about?

 

This country is becoming a 5h1thole. Slowly but surely I am starting to hate it and little things like this make me just wanna emigrate..

Yeah and they wonder why so many cars are on the roads untaxed.Its only us stupid law abiders that bother with all the hassle.Its long long long overdue for getting rid of the stupid tax disc.Then again knowing how they operate they will make it even harder to tax your car soon.If only they put in as much time, effort and thought as they do with immigration and asylum seekers.

im lucky the guy who works in the post office near me that does tax is okay, i went to tax the zed this weekend and im yet to receive my insurance documents from houghtons. i have one cover note with no registration on which is now well expired and another which replaces it but has the wrong registration on (J instead of G). i dont understand how they cocked that up because all previous correspondance from them had the correct reg on :headvswall:

 

anyway the guy did question it but when i explained he didnt mind and i got my tax disk

These rule are there to stop people breaking the law. I explained that I needed the car and My partner is disabled but to no avail. They are power crazy w4nker5.

Yep its all been sed lets all just fook off and emigrate to waters new and fook this country!!!!!!
