Good luck bud! Always fun trying to undo the egr pipe screws under either side of the plenum!!Dave

couldnt spend as long on the z last night - just managed to get the balance bar, coilpacks and throttle cables off.

also removed 'smithys new part' havnt got a clue what its actually called!

slowly slowly catchy monkey!!!

reckon with what i would like to uprate, cost is gonna be the biggest factor rather than the time to actually remove and fit!!

would ideally like to fit koyo rad when everything goes back together, greddy plugs, get everything polished, few more smithys bits etc

has anyone used the greddy cambelt from chris@getgreddy's site???

whats the difference from o.e spec?

from a few posts, i take it that metal head gaskets are a bit of a no-no?

anyone else replaced their pcv's with breather filters???

Strewth, sounds like you're going for the full dismantle option! An hour and a half to do all that? Took me the best part of two and a half hours to change the flaming oil (which wasn't *actually* on fire I should point out). What are you planning to do?

errrrrr, at the moment, keep going till the heads come off!

find somewhere to recon them, and get all the visible bits polished.

new head gaskets needed, just thought id have a go myself first, learn a little more about the car!

pulling everything offs the easy bit - its putting it all back together im looking forward to!

Hope your taking notes bud, worst thing about doing stuff over time is that any memory you had of where everything goes dissapears :) Good on you for having a go tho
