Ecu Swap

I've just borrowed an ECU to try in place of mine to try cure an intermittant stumble. I've noticed it has NOT got the same numbers on it. Mines got 22 on it and the new one 23.

Will this make any difference.

Is it an auto transmission unit or are they all the same?

    By the way, I think remember you saying something about problem fuel pump controllers. Can you give me any more details? I'm starting to run out of ideas.
