A guy came in work today and asked if I could take a look at his brakes,as they ''don't feel right''.

Fair enough,bring it in I say..............................well he did,parked up and I noticed brake fluid dripping from the n/s/f wheel!!

Now this is a 4tonne bus and he take people about in it :o

Right,lets have a look,thinking probably a flexy-pipe bust or sommat............

On removal of the wheel I saw the problem,the inner pad had not only worn away,but had dissapeared!-so the pistons were doing the braking on the disc!! :shock: :shock: BUT,only until they wore down enough to ''pop out'' of the caliper!!-hence the leak :rolleyes: -Now how much of a racket must it make before he thought ''eye,eye,that aint' right''-Outcome-new discs,new caliper and pads,all because he couldn't be ar5ed to check em'! :headvswal

And remember this was in daily use as a bus! :mac1: :smash:

He sounds like the fella who drove my mate (and 25 other people) halfway off a motorway bridge bout 8 years ago when they checked the bus the fookin thing was a death trap and the driver hadnt slept for 2 days (doin the duty free run wiv no backup driver) I think he must have been auditioning for The Italian Job!!!
