The "O my god !" is a 935 "moby dick"

Very classic and extremely FAST race car from the seventy's

Regarding the 928 pickup truck......Idk. I think some people just have WAY too much $.

Im a weirdo .. but i have always LOVED the 935's..

These beasts got up to speeds of 235 mph on the stright of le mans back in the 70s.

In my book there is nothing wrong with trying to look like one of Porsches most FEARED and successuful racers...:

The spoiler was neccessary to possess enough downforce at these speeds. THis was WAY before windtunnel testing, and exact knowledge of aerodynamics was applied to auto's.

I had a chance to ride in a 935 replica.

It was AMAZING. The speedo for example worked on incriments of 50's with nothing in between (0,50,100,150,200.... kinda cute)

Not to mention that these 935 kits are fibreglass and lower the weight of an older 911 by as much as 500lbs.

we all know that shedding pounds is like gaining horsepower and handling/braking ability.

Hi Luke mate,

Yeah but the original looks pukka, that thing looks awful...just the kit more than anything! biggrin.gif

I saw a car once, thought it was an Aston Martin...jumped out me car, ran over to discover it was an X-reg 2.8 infection Caprice with a horrid kit on! LOL biggrin.gif Should have known, not that many Aston Martins outside houses on council estates...ROFL biggrin.gif

The hood fit is nasty but besides that, id drive it. I am weird though. I guess it depends on the sound. If i see n/e thing that resembles the 935 i rode in I can still hear the rumble and "lobe ing" of that air cooled flat six. They are like EXTREME go karts.

I am deffinately not defending the "marque" here. That car actually makes my mouth water. I see a "project". Some day i'll own one.

This guy hasn't had this motor dynoed yet. But on his "test drive" he actually cracked a CV joint in two halves. They're estimating around 800 horse.

holy crap, and I thought our engines were hard to work on! smile.gif

* Notice * The huge Red intercooler will not fit under neith a flat engine lid. This is why the whale tail was invented. It makes room over the intercooler.

Jesus that is a beast!!!

Mind you though, look at it and all you have to do is get the rear bumper off and most things are relatively accessable...unlike on a 300...LOL biggrin.gif Well Hair dryers anyway! Maybe a slight over exaggeration on my part biggrin.gif

You should see how cramped it is under the hood of a 951. Poor engineering. That is why my underhood temps get so ungodly high. I melted the soundening material on the underside of the hood! eek.gif
