my mate did it on a peugot 205 gti, he works in an engineering company and was told by a work colleuge that because they arent hardened they wont work and they will be weakened and stressed, but as he carried on drilling the disc it cracked (dont know if he done it right but thats what happened)

I had a set made for my sierra xr4x4 by an engineer, he was supposed to groove them as a favour because i reccommended him to my boss to do work for a company i used to work at, then the cheeky fooker asked me to pay for the special tool he had to buy to do them. They work fine better than standard obviously but i have never tried to drill a set.

i have drilled a set on my old nova

used a pillar drill and a rotary table

put a set of standard 2.0 16v discs and drilled 6 sets of 4 holes (not all the way through)

they were fine, had them on the car for over a year without any probs at all

looked awesome aswell lol

just out of curiosity, has anyone ever drilled their brake discs on here??

Im trying to be as nice as I can, "dont talk nonsense Absolute suicide, never mess with your brakes!!!"

i did on my old cav i grooved them myself on an indexable chuck!! never had a problem with them. they were pratically new tho. i wouldn't have attempted it on old disks as the wall thicknes would be to thin. only went 1-2 mm deep they worked effectively.

one thing tho i love me z to much to try it on her deffo buy propper ones for this type of car!! wouldn't wanna stove her up the back of someone

there has to be one hasnt there yep i have done it on my zed drilled the disks but i changed them to ebc disks afterwards, my advice is dont do it as the brakes were worse and they warped after i drilled them

After drilling they would need to be bevelled and stress relieved, not the sort of thing you can do in the oven at home.
