Hi all, I'm new here and I've got some questions!

 

Driving home today in the pouring rain, I noticed a 300zx for sale at a garage just down the road from me. It's a targa in a deep metallic burgundy colour, on a j plate. From what I saw, the bodywork was very tidy and I know from experience that this particular garage usually only offers cars of a high standard.

 

Now, the questions!

 

Do the targas have turbos? The car is up for £3500 iirc, is this a fair price to ask? I was originally looking at getting a 200sx but this car caught my eye today and I've already got a pretty good insurance quote, so I'm seriously considering this car.

All i can say is that i too was after the 200sx as a mate of mine had one, but chance came up for 300zx and i jumped at it. Only had it a couple of weeks, and loving every minute of it lol.

 

So if this car turns out to be bad, look for another one is all I'm saying ;)

 

Where are you based??? I'm sure someone heard, if local, would come check car over with ya

 

As for price, doesn't sound to bad to me, but what do i know, I'm a noob too

targas could be turbo or non turbo, the price depends on what model it is and what year etc, etc to get a better idea find out more about it and ask more questions on this site, like bandit says tell us where you are and im sure someone will go along with you and take a look, if you are the origianal dirty sanches you will be from wales lol

yes they did put turbos on targas, thats not to say it is one though, may be n/a. sounds a good buy, could break it for that :mac1:

Didn't really get a chance to look closely enough to see the front spoiler, will try and get some pics in the morning though!

£3.5k is prob what a Z in fairly good nick would fetch on eBay or on here - but a dealer would charge £6k+. Either he's clueless or theres a mechanical problem with it. Hope its good for you tho bud.
