Hi, I have a SWB now as well as a LWB, what have you guys done with regard to music, to be precise rear speakers?

Thinking of building something for them right behind the seats, one each side, or maybe a sub in the middle on that stupid weak flat thing.

Any ideas?

in my SWB i just had the standard speakers. but mostly just listened to the sound from the twin apexi exhausts. music to my ears.

don't forget the entertainment from a SWB comes from the car not the speakers. ;)

fitted 6x9's in the doors

i have made baffles for 6.5" speakers under the origional covers in the back, also in the middle of building two boxes for two 12" subs one for each side of the boot (but still be able to get targas in here are some example pics of what im trying to replicate also some other idea is building a parcel shelf like one of the guys in pics did

Those boxes your making look good, nicely made too. I need to keep room for the targa's. Have you got any plans for the boxes? Something you cut around? Thanks.

sorry mate no plans but it quite easy to get right use card and template the top and bottom sections of your boot then transfer to the wood ect then either use more wood or fibreglass to mould the back.... i just used these picks to get the right sort of idea...

when i get it just right i will mate, dont wanna send you dodgy drawings now do i ;) :p

gonna do some more to them over the weekend .

once i get the shape ok for my car i will draw round them....but it also depends on what you want so you will have to mod them for your own taste.

im going for slanted boxes but they can be made flat on top ect each to there own so to speak!

will let you know

big thing now with all the noyze boyze is fibreglass instals, make a thin wooden frame fix in the speaker rings and cover with moulding cloth, then coat in resin, speaker rings can be bought ready made for this method, contact jed at 33 hertz 01638 583883 he supplies all you will need, ask jed if you can speak to paul or sean tell em melvyn give you the contact, they can do the biz or advise. :mac1:

o.k on my one i have replaced the front with infinty kappa comp 6.5in 75w RMS ( but should have went for 6x9 as they can be fitted too) the rear so far i have JBL 6x4 70W RMS. But i gonoing to put another set of comp on the rear panels behind the seats i spoken to the the guy and he goes there should'nt be no problem. them im going to get two amps one for the sub and one for the comp and a Alpine mp3 and motorised screen. then job done my ICE will be sorted.

im a tight git and like working with mdf lol...+ i have never used fibreglass and dont wanna foook it up.

as i am fitting 12" subs i need quite a bit of room for them and the boxes im doing are easy to make ,cheap and pratical.. the noyze boyze dont seem like they do any shopping

All ive done to mine is fitted an Alpine MP3 player

as im not really into this ICE thing. As long as it

sounds okay thats ok with me

I just haven't had time to build an install, in the meantime I have this which was from one of my others cars... does the job lol

No ICE in mine yet Mark, so, this was a pointless reply

:D

let me know when yours is in thou, im looking for ideas!
