Upgraded computer and many,many problems arrose (still not right).

lots of various crashes and blue screens I think its the ram myself?.

Anyway when reinstalling thought to myself....Do you need to install service packs 1 AND 2 or can you just install 2?

What version of Windows is it?

If it's 2000 or XP then just 2 will do it.

The patches for XP are cumulative, i.e. you can install SP2 on a clean install without having to install SP1.

the problem is ram as I have been running for about an hour now with no crashes I am going to leave 3dmark 03 on later and see if it survives.

I have 2 different sticks of memory (pc 2700 + pc 3200) and I have taken the 2700 out.

I have order 2 x 3200 from dabs just now and will recive tomorrow morning.

Computer seemed to crash with 'internet explorer has crashed, dont sent or send error report bull'

this happened on many other applications.

But everytime I looked a vidoes or graphics (gamewise) it just blue screened.

Do a search for memtest86 in google .. they do a bootable floppy and cd for testing memory .. also sounds like it might be overheating so make sure the heatsink is seated and use a good quality thermal past suh as articsilver not the useless pads they normally come with.

Mix'n'match RAM is a bad thing. Keep it all the same speed and if possible the same manufacturer.
