im thinking my flat power problem could be the injector connections, the plenums coming off so i can fix the water leaks and was going to do the connections at the same time.

was thinking, surely the injectors would either work or they wouldnt with a bad connection, or does anyone know any different? i get no fault codes or missfires, but does it run better with clean connections?

Sounds more like safety boost which could be a whole load of things that course that. From the simple to serious. Get her on a conzult or use the blink codes on the ECU. However that didn't help me because it was my ECU that had a problem. If you use the search on here for the online manual you'll get the section that tell you how to do the blink codes. all you need is a bit of wire.

cheers Mark, ive done a fault code check loadsa times still comes back clear. boost comes up ok on the gauge. im not in safety boost since i sorted the det sensor.

sometimes it goes great and othertimes its flat. im going to make a boost leak tester when i get home aswell.

This has just started happening since the weather got good and hot has it?

Also just an off the wall one here. Is it Auto by any chance?

I used to get this in hot weather when mine was auto. I changed the intercoolers to the Greedy ones and went manual at the same time. I assumed it was the intercoolers that resolved this. However I sold my auto box to Chunk (that reminds me he still owes me for that) and he said it was lazy and felt like it wasn't delivering the power. He put a HKS fast Auto Box ECU chip on and bingo it flew again. infact he managed a sub 13second staning 1/4 mile with that same box and standard coolers infact they were mine too.

I know Chris at GetGReedy sells these box of tricks for about £300. Coolers arn't so cheep though. hope this is of some use to you.

P.S. if you do take you plenum off do the water by pass pipe bit and ditch your emissions rubbish while your at it.

P.S. I just thought I have a set of new injector conectors if your hell bent on sorting them. Though I wouldn't mess with the loom unless your certain. I bought them of Dave C then decided to replace the whole engine ECU harness so never used em. Don't know what they sell for but you can have em for half price if you want em.

thanks Mark, i will keep that in mind if the connectors turn out to be rubbish.

im going to

change the Auto box fluid,

sort the water leak,

check for boost leaks,

and see if that bring some life back into it. coolers will be a bit pricey as i have a few projects on the go at the moment.

what stuff will i take out for the emissions? the EGR valve? anything else?

There is a thread on here somewhere. I did mine with the help of Dave at dp. He's the brains I'm just the spanner monkey.
