I'm looking into buying IC's,what do you recommend?

What I've heard is that Greddy fits best.

Then there's also a price issue.

Anybody know a good place to get them for

a fair price?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

BTW, check out my home page for some new

Turbo Imports are selling the GReddy I/C's for $988.50, I don't know if anyone does them cheaper.

Hi, I've been shopping around too. I know nothing about how well they fit, but I have been speaking with a few people and I'm only considering Stillen or Greddy.

As far as the difference's, this is what Jim Wolf told me (who only sells Spearco/Stillen). He has tested both Stillen and Greddy, they both perform well. He agreed that the Stillen has a bigger intake than the Greddy, but is shorter. We agreed that the main purpose wasn't just to cool the air, but to reduce the pressure required to be made by the turbos, also stopping some of the heat (detination) via backpressure going back to the cylinder. Personally I'm not sure how much backpressure returns the heat when compared to the heat generally transfered from the turbos to cylinder.

Anyhow, he says that the larger front on the Stillen (which he sells from the original manufactor - Spearco) allows a higher air pressure to reach the cylinder which the turbos don't have to make the difference up for. I think the difference isn't great, I've lost the pressure figures, but may be worth it. He also confirms that although the 300ZX stock nose covers half the Stillen intake it doesn't effect the pressure gained over the Greddy.

Personally I'll try to get the Stillen, but if the price or wait is too long I'll get the Greddy.

The prices I've found so far:

Stillen:

JWT : $1000.00

Turbo imports : $ 975.00

Grasshopper : awaiting response...

Greddy:

SGP : $1100

Turbo imports : $ 988.50

have fun, let me know what prices you find... I'm looking to get nismo injectors and JWT chip upgrade at the same time. Maciej, what chip do you have running with your Apexi AFC? Just wondered how good and how much the AFC was. And what equipment and understanding you need in order to set it up correctly.

Regards,

Jez.

As for the chip I'm running JWT Dual POP.

For the AFC it would be ultimate to have

an EGT gauge to be able to monitor the

A/F ratio. Right now I'm using my ears :)

I have stopped the detonation I have at 17psi

by adding 3% more air flow.

I'm also using the AFC to be able to run a

dual MAS setup. It makes an average of the

both MAS-signals and sends it to the ECU.

The AFC was $299 at a group buy some time ago.
