right..

bit of a bugger.

i just replaced the wiper relay with one from andy, and my intermittent wiper still sticks in various places when running.

yet in full or medium sweep its fine doesnt stick or stop.

i have checked the cnxns and cleaned them out with isopropynol and checked the switch, but no joy.. any ideas..

im thinking the wiper motor?

its wierd but sometimes it will sweep fine then it starts sticking. so im thinking motor..

open to advise!! :smash:

if it was wiper motor it would stick on slow and fast sweep also ..its the same motor for the intermitent wipe ....its more likly to be the intermittent timer unit or a bad connection on the relay or fuse or wiper control stalk IMHO

Had a similar prob on an old BMW...the contacts for each speed and intermitent are different. They corroded away and it did its own thing..new (second hand) motor cost me near on £40!!

its probably the pick up plate on the wiper motor, theres contacts that tell the relay when its at the limits of travel, (so they always stop at the right place.) they might be worn/dirty. take the motor to bits, its normally an easy bit to get to.
