Hi folks,

Has any one got a picture of the back of the engine showing the water hoses (between the bulkead and engine)?

can these be replaced if i take off the plenum?or do i have to lift the g/box or engine out?

i cant see where the water is coming from but im sure its the hose over the top of the EGR valve. ive replaced 2 of these hoses already and i want too see where the rest of the buggers are.

Cheers,

Fraser

You should be able to get to the 2 heater matrix hoses without removing anything. It's tight but doable with long nosed pliers etc

There are the tub coolant hoses,,,but you need to get to these from bottom...

thanks folks, ive replaced the turbo one on the passengers side, i had to get an old pair of longnose pliers and grind them down till they were about 3" long, to undo the spring clips. the down pipes, heatshield and bellhousing were all in the way. id like to see where all the hoses are so i have a better idea where the leak is coming from...

just do a water bypass, then again i have small hands and can do it very quick then all those silly hoses running under the plenum are bypassed and the turbos still get a feed

Greg- is there a definitive pic showing before and after pics of doing a bypass? I've been meaning to do this for ages but I'm not sure I can work out exactly what needs doing!

Im interested in this too....any piccys or links plz

Apologies for going down the side-topic of throttle body bypass  , but on the following thread, especially post no. 11, there are some nice big pics of the back of an engine removed from the car. I think it shows all you need for the driver's side coolant pipes but not the passenger's side. Half-way there! It's actually the driver's side where I think I have my leak so I might be ok!)

But going back on-topic, you can at least see the heater matrix pipes on the engine. :)
