Out of interest,

do any of the traders have a problem with the way in which the PHNW matter was dealt with? As most of you are aware we had received complaints from the majority of the traders regarding PHNW's conduct on the forum. They were not removed from the forum, we simply did not ask for them to renew.

Just so you know, any decisions are not taken lightly and PHNW was given right of reply. The aim of the forum has always been to provide a good service to its members, subsequently the traders reflect massively in the forums appearance.

No trader has ever or will ever be removed for personal reasons, when we receive a number of complaints about a trader Mac always works to resolve the issues, however it becomes a issue when we receive numerous complaints and when warned or told the trader ignores the committee and Carry's on the same old bad ways.

Of course this reflects badly on the forum as of a matter of respect we keep the reasons off of the forum, the traders are at liberty to tell people the exact reasons they haven't been asked to renew but ultimately they don't and we are made to be the bad guys.

The club doesn't just kick out traders willy nilly, at the end of the day with any trader that has been asked not to renew we have been more than lenient, given more than two chances and each time had it thrown back in our faces.

I think everyone will agree the current traders on the forum are fine examples, I am pretty sure that we have no outstanding issues of complaint against any of you that you haven't worked to resolve, with the existing traders complaints are few and far between and usually due to miscommunication or misunderstanding (usually on the part of the consumer). This is exactly what we want, we do not want to be inundated with politics and complaints, we don't want existing traders and members to be upset.

Ultimately the club is a place for traders to advertise and help the members, we can put no guarantees on your business being successful that is down to you, we can put no guarantees on the club being around for ever, especially with the number of new committee members we get through lol. I can guarantee however that the current committee is fully committed to keeping the club running and keeping it a nice place for members and traders, and if people come along and try to spoil it for other and break rules they will be dealt with within the guidelines of the AUP and constitution.

Just to add to what Mike has written, PHNW was given ample oppertunity to appeal against the decission made, and didnt.

Well i'll be the 1st trader to say " no problem with me" I am aware of some of Daves dealings and many of the members are not, little do they know that you have possibly saved many of them from something they later may have reported to you about and so in this case guys, you did the right thing :)

cheers

This is EXACTLY the problem, i'm having digs thrown at me left right and centre not by name but you can tell when they have spoke to Dave he has mentioned my name. His usual gofers who stick up for him havent a CLUE what he's been upto, if only they knew.

Yeah Chris - I've noticed that too, I know fook all about any of this Dave stuff (other than stepping on others' toes) but have noticed a few jabs aimed at you from members who praise Dave  :(

i'm fooked off with it all mate tbh, maybe people should be told what the sneaky fooker has been upto ?

Yeah you might be right Chris, I know its not in spirit with the forum ethos and all that, but if we've got an ex-trader slagging off a present new to existing members you've gotta protect yourself really. What do the mods think?

i think its gonna be difficult to stop it degrading into a slanging match if traders start posting details!

maybe a statement from Macca would be the way forward?

I think gagging JeffTT would be a better way forward !

this is where we fall down, the fact that we keep quiet about dozens and dozens of complaints makes us look like the bad guys and any unwelcome traders look like saints. personally I think complaints should be kept private unless the trader wants to publish them, but it is rather frustrating at times.

Already knocked one up this morning how about this?

When this thread was started reading how many points were over looked and true facts were not taken in to account because the only people that know them is we the Committee and DaveC, however to let you know some real facts then for what it’s worth here goes………….

First point is this and this is just for you Jeff.

Your post does not surprise me in the least about claiming DaveC is a latest Committee victim. What complete drivel you post at times!

This whole issue with DaveC is between the Committee and himself. PHNW traders fees were up for renewal in June, the committee refused his application as there were issues that happened during the time of PHNW trading on the board. If Dave wants to go public about these findings then that is up to him. However if he does not then it will remain confidential.

Dave had an email sent by the club Secretary and has the right to appeal and explain to us the questions that we have asked him, Dave then called me on the phone and said he won’t reply as he no longer wants to become a trader on the board. Now on a personal level I have never had a wrong word with DaveC so it has nothing to do with him falling out with the Committee infact as far as I am aware Dave has never had a wrong word with any one on the Committee.

We all have a right to an opinion however before you can do that you must know the true facts and not just half of a story. I am closing this thread now as this whole issue is a private matter between PHNW and us the Committee.

Any further correspondence should be sent Via PM to either me as TLO or Shunter the Club Secretary.

If its not already been posted, POST IT :)

Post it with the addition of saying people should keep their noses out and not pass comments until ALL THE FACTS are known

Dunno about twats, more like c-unts i'd say  :xxx:

Yeah crack on Mac, however you mention dave "has" the right to appeal, i assume it is now a case of "had" now that time time has gone by, just incase he suddenly sticks an appeal in :)

cheers

Any chance of having that pleasure

It's never nice having to remove somebody for bad trading or potentially bringing the board in to disripute , but as I see it, it's the committee's job first and foremost to look after its members, what members do not appreciate is that this decision has to be made for them hence the whole reason for a committee, I am well aware of the good and bad things that Dave has done whilst trading and fully support the committee's decision in the members interests and other traders sanity
