The trouble with giving them what they want is they get to do what they want in the country. Imagine if we let Iran, Iraq and Korea develop nuclear weapons, no one would be safe. These loonatics would use them and then where would we be?

And then say, one more terrorist attack ANYWHERE and ANY time and we will remove the middle east. I dont drive and my house is gas powered :rofl: We've got the north sea oil anyway... was built for us and we export most of it anyway, time to bring it home i think !

I have been contemplating migrating to New Zealand or Australia and went online to have a nose about. Do you know what you need to do so? Well I never imagined it would be so hard. If you are not rich, or have a bloody good profession that will benefit the country. Forget it mate. So why cant that be the case here?

The feeling on this thread seems to be that these 'foreigners' are coming over here, using up our resources, changing the culture of our country, and now they're killing our people! We should all join the BNP, and kick these fekkers out whether they like it or not. In fact why not blow up their countries and turn them into uninhabitable wastelands?

Thats a good point. Isnt it ironic how Australia started from our criminals and was basiclly used as a prison, and now its prospering more than we are and their foreign policy is spot on, their immigration laws are spot on. Soon as i finished my MSCA im moving there, not eligeble until that point. I believe u need a substantial amount of money as well.

I went to school with clarkey who has a 300zx, got bored one day and came on here and have not left. I do have the ambition of driving a 300zx when i get to Aus anyway!

I think it's something to do with the type of oil in the North Sea being of a higher grade than Middle Eastern oil, and being better suited to refining into other materials than petrol/diesel. Also, isn't it running out soon?

 

As for governments not buying something they already make, it's a question of costs to produce and refine as well as suitability of the product. The USA has huge amounts of oil in Texas and Alaska for example, but they still import most of their oil from the Middle East.

To be honest if the people in this country are not strong enough to stand up for themselves and fight for what they believe in then they deserve what they get. Sooner im out the better. Its so sad that my generation can say with truth that we are not proud to be british. We have become a nation of weak and unfortunately less and less educated people.
