Ignition Control - This sound dodgy?

Basically one of my igniton coils would keep burning out even after replacement. I think one of the guys on this site said it cud be that the connector was inserted the wrong way round. My mechanics took a look at it, and burnt 2 more coil igniton units, one at the top and one in the middle. They told me that it must be the ignition control. So basically im asking anyone on this forum for advice, whether it is the control thingy n how much do they go for? Or does this sound dodgy?

Any help? :(

Anyone please

maybe theres more than one the wrong way round...? is it the right plugs in it? and are the gaps set right? ive never known it to happen before but its bound to change the load on the coil depending on the gap/resistance of the plug core..

You tried a new PTU to see if that makes any difference?

Sorry bout my ignorance but wot is a ptu? Thanks for the input.
