well this is what i plan to do to the back of my car in the next month or so.

gonna make a new rear section off another bootlid outta steel and template it all up outta cardboard sheet first.

when the fit is finished i wil try it in the car see what its like. as its a spare lid i wont be messing up my good one, just in case!! :hyper:

a steel engineering firm i used to work for is going to cut the sheets to the template sizes and the louvres will be laser cut and tig'd on afterwards

once finished im gonna fit the spoiler i got from parallel

scuse the crappy photoshop chuck together its 2:52 here and im off to bed..

Why??

Do you want water pouring into your boot?

Why have vents on a boot?

OOOOH! NO! it looks like a bloody X19? for those that can remember the horrible little things.

I used to have a rather spotty friend who drove one of those - he was known as Pluke Skywalker  :D

oh o.

In the loudest voive possible.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

gonna end up looking like a mr2 from the back mate !! Dont u like the zed look or something ??

Definately no to my taste, but if thats what you like then fair enough bud, always good to see someone trying something different.

But remember, its a Nissan not a Lambo ;)

thanks to takemetothepub and chunks comments.

for seeing the possibilty of trying something new , just once.

yea i know its a lambo lookk but the zed lends itself to a lambo look without trying.

jesus guys, you all dont mind modding your bumpers, putting big ass spoilers on, wide arses, skirts, the list goes on.

but when someone does something new or different.. its no. no .no

the whole point about modding cars or customising them is to try something different or every damn car will be the same..and in my opinion..every zed on the block becomes boring..

i think the 300 lends itself to diablo looks more than any other car on the road, so giving it a touch of diablo looks isnt a bad thing. after all strosek do the lambo look addons, wheels, rear boot skin, bumper light covers etc... bet you would put them on..ah some of you already have! and if i read some of the comments right its "greatl look- amazing car" etc.

time to shake the hornets nest up i think.. change isnt always a good thing but experimentation means we learn from our mistakes and as im using a spare lid if its shit i goes in the bin and my old one goes back on.

good on ya lad - personally, i really dont like that look, but am always impressed by someone trying things like that themselves and being DIFFERENT!

oh, dont zcentre do something similar???

PK1, As you say be different, we all have our own tastes which is not to everyone elses, but be sure it is some thing you might be able to reverse if you dont like it bud....

yea i agree thats why a spare boot lid is needed, my current one is fine and im not ripping that apart, by using a spare like i said earlier, if its shit i can bin it.. and im at no loss as i have my good original to go straight back on.

Not sure if you've already seen, but the Zcentre do a taigate tub which may be easier to work on to get that look you want

http://www.zcentre.co.uk/spoilers/zc022a.htm

But these are known to suffer when it rains, and you end up with a pond on your tailgate......what are you intentions with the lourvered slots...in regards to water ?

Well.......I like it...So there  ...lol

PK1....I like it mate.....

Infact...I like it so much if yours goes well you might wanna do another? ;) ....thats if you dont mind me copying :D

As Legrath says though..would probably be better if you adapted the Zcentre tailgate as it should be easier to work with....And alot lighter :nana2:

:hyper: PSP Request.... :hyper:

Can anyone PSP that rear boot of PK1's onto mine for me please....leave my spoilers on..just psp around it....and in black obviously...

I think it will look less obtrusive in black and will lend itself to the viper wings.

I know its a shat dark picture but thats all i got at the mo:-

me thinks it would look nice with a wide asre with vents

strosek kit..

nope like i said in previous posts the vents will be faux vents

faux-adj : not genuine or real; being an imitation of the genuine article no holes etc..

gonne fit mesh strips in them after spraying.. if it goes ok..

prob with the zcenter one is that the louvres have to be made out of steel then fixed to the fibreglass. im just an old school kinda guy and im used to templates and sheet steel.. i can make it outta 2-3mm mild and then cross frame it for reinforcement.

it takes imagination and guts to have a go at something like this well done matey,, im on the fence but id say 50/50 would have to see it in the flesh ,, but top marks,, for bieng different,,

How about putting this inside it :)

i see the rear design of your car as a cross between the testarossa and a 355... would be good if you go all the way and make your car mid engine rear drive. other wise pointless louves (bad spelling soz) may look better in the flesh....

is there a weight problem with using steel sheet your gonna have muscles like popye after a month of shoppin lol

good luck dude dare to be different
