Hi people..Im new to zeds having just bought a 90 n/a that has a few good points and a few bad as I have discovered..Car has been sitting for 8 months..Does anyone know about the brakes? The lines are very rusty and the brakes do not work as well as they should..the pads and discs are fine..no leaks from cylinders or lines..I just thought that 4 wheels disc brakes would work better..do your zeds brakes work fine in a standard form??

Also the power steering is leaking from somewhere and it makes whining noises as I turn the steering wheel...Is this a major problem? The steering is hard then it starts working agin sometimes..does anyone know a place that is Zed friendly to get it looked at in North London? or is it something I can do from home?

Love the car..always liked them and glad to have bought it!!

any comments would be a great help for me..thanks

Does anyone know of a zed being broken in North London..need left tailight and some top radiator rubbers , battery holder, the plastic parts that hold the inner front guards to the sides of the front bar in front of the tyres, front bar supports..the front bar is flapping around..im sure there must be fixtures for it?? thanks

Replacing all brake pipes is a big job.I had all pipes done on my tt last year, done by local Nissan dealer £800.

Did all my rear metal brake pipes last year for MOT, in no rush to do them again! Ever!

just an idea but could they not be done in flexible brake lines?

Vijay

Yeah, sorry, you can replace the flexible pipes with braided, but the metal brake pipes must be replaced with metal, and its not fun!!!

I have had another look at the brake lines and they look copper..are they? if so they wouldnt rust would they? sorry its a stupid query but im really not sure what they are made off

I replaced mine in copper, you can tell straight away looking at them, if they look copper, chances are, they are copper, I think the originals were steel.
