Preseming you are male, if you have a better half (lol) who is female then do the insurance through them with a womens insurance company. My bloke was quoted 2000 and he is 25 with no ncb but I got it for 600 with 2 yrs ncb and im 24

It was more or less the same when i was 18 although the quote was a bit higher cos i had only just started driving.

Shop around. I literally phoned everyone in the yellow pages lol

mate, im 21 with 1 years ncb and 6 points. Paying around £550 tpft

I dont want to p155 on your fireworks mate. But dont be too sure about the Insurance company not going back on their word? They did with my son.

Try Groupama insurance Co.

bloke round my area has got a very nice purple two tone paint job 300zx 400+ bhp, 18" rims, wide @ rear, i believe hes 18 and his quote was 7500 lol

I have mine with Houghtons insurance i dont know if they are still in traders forum. People on the forum have had mixed quotes i had a cracking deal (i wont tell you how much caus you,ll get upset) i know i am goin silver on top but they beat every insurance company i tried their no. is 01582 867763 ask for rob. Just recently a member had a bad experience with them where his value on the document was £6000 but after an accident the loss adjuster said only £3600, so to get over this i asked for an assured value document which is to be signed by myself and a mechanic Ryan at Ztech has agreed to sign this document for any member so that the sum you put on your car will be what you get. Anywhoo they are worth a try, my car is 1995 jap import twin turbo with mods and not garaged but has cat 1 immobiliser thatcham approved and there was no problem, postcode area does make a difference. Hope this helps :hyper: ;) :D

just reinsured mine today for ....................£367 FULLY COMP :nana2: :nana2: :hyper: :hyper: :D :D :D

27 with 5 years no claims, plus "admitting" its got an ecu upgrade. (by the way the no claims according to them will not affect the quote as they insure it as a classic).

this is with heritage classic insurance

houghton said they can't insure zeds anymore, they are no longer traders

  Since when Mike......:( as i have had mine with them for 2 yrs now.

If I wouldnt even dream of paying nearly half the value of a car on insurance. That's just insane, I would say either find a better quote, or start shopping for another car.

Wonder what I'll be paying then on an import.... 26, low risk area (heart of Somerset), full no claims (9 years), but have 6 points on my licence...which have not affected the premium on my current car.

Any ideas? Should really have gotten a quote considering I'm currently looking for one. But have no idea on decent companies that will insure imports.

not for long, i believe they told us their underwriter wouldnt do the 300zx anymore and then they didn't renew their trading subscription,

its a shame really, but their policies and restrictions also meant they weren't really good for most of the club, we kept them on as some members were seeing benifits if anyone has any suggestions for other insurance brokers who would give members good rates and a discount we will consider them all, its left a bit of a void in the club..

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Gaz300zx you da man............

I had quote for twin turbo fairlady @£1080 called heritage like you have matey, new quote is £397.50, i asked him "you did put that its an import yes???" he replied "yes" then i fell from my chair lol

heritage ROCKS!!!!

Thanx Gaz300zx

glad i got in with them only a few weeks back

anyway all those covering an import do check the policy detials v carefully because lots of ins co's will quote you...however most send out docs for a UK even if you told them on the phone it was a jap...and when you point it out its a jap dont be surprised to be told...oh sorry we cant cover you then....

its a scam...basically they are hoping most wont notice

Thanks. Looks like it may be similar for me then I guess.
