Triflo & JWT ECU Install. 1/4 mile times and good info

I have exported my TT AUTO to Cyprus because I am planning to move there.

Finally I came for holidays here last Saturday and I had the chance to install the Multi Speed Turbo timer and do some 1/4 times (no cameras here smile.gif

My car was completely stock when I did 1/4 runs

Best Run 13.4 [Completely Stock]

Temp was about 16 Celcius and I had nearly half tank of fuel.

Then I install Triflo which was PITA to install. I have WW bodykit and it was impossible to fit. We had to cut both mufflers so as to change both angles. After 2 days of testing it finally fits. The results its absolutely amazing.

It sounds like a beast. Never heard anything like this before.

If you are planning to buy Triflo with quad Oval 4.5" tips and you have WW bodykit then it will take you a lot of time to fit.

If Not then its not a problem.

I did a run again and it run 13.2sec 1/4 of a mile. Same temperature and a bit more than 1/4 tank of fuel.

Next day I install JWT ECU + Boost Controller (SBC-ID). It took me a day since i didnt want make any mistakes.

Finally everything ready for a run. My brother and my best friend wanted to come with me.

I setup the boost to 1 bar and finally here we go. Usual place and ready for a 1/4 time.

Wooow....Its soooo damn fast. Finally 1/4 time is over. I look the time and it says 12.5 sec. I am sooo amazed. With 3 persons inside the car and only STAGE II i did 12.5 sec. My best friend owns a modded Supra and he was speachless.

My only concern is that even if I setup the boost to 1 bar it did 1.14/16.5 PSI.

I have lower my boost since I dont want to make any damage. But even at that boost there wasn't any detonation.

Next week I have a Level-10 High Performance Torque Converter to Install as well.

I can't wait to see the result.

Hopefully when I come back to UK in January I will buy a SUS Blitz induction kit as well.

was that actually at a 1/4 track, ie proper timming, or one of those units that you have on the car?

Go to a proper 1/4 mile strip and try it, you ownt know till you have put the two against each other. Mine was way off.

I think those times are about right, Motor trend ran 13.8 seconds with the 300zx tt, but then it was'nt at 16degrees lol

colder temperatures help, if anyone want to place money on drags what people are doing here is cutting into the radiator piping and welding a tin coffee can to it, dropping dry ice in the cans with wire mesh covering over it, supposed to give you a safe reliable improvement in your drag times, kinda reluctant to try it.

Sounds a bit low, specially with 3 people in the car - As Wazza said take it to the Pod or North Weald and see what your slip time is - Those In car ones are basically just toyz.

Your set will produce decent times across the 1/4 mile - B&B claim 16bhp from their X pipe system and the JWT is good for as much as you dare squeeze out of it.

Final point is, yes you want to get a Intake ASAP as the JWT chip is tuned to run with Exhuast and intake !

Z ya
