I wasn't even gunning it either, can only assume there was some oil or something on the road... I was accelerating away as normal.. not even near the edge and the back completely stepped out... ended up on the other side of the dual carraigeway and back again up the kerb and have fooked both my left side alloys and tyres... bugger...

Does anyone know of any good alloy wheel refurbishment companies local to me? Around the braintree/colchester/chelmsford area... I'm really gutted as I haven't had these long, and my missus is severely pissed off with me right now...

There is Spit'n'Polish and Lepsons. Both will probably collect & deliver.

That is real bad luck on those nice wheels, had a quote for similar damage on a similar type wheel of £80 recently from A1 wheels in Wolverhampton 01902 871422

They fixed my Escort Cosworth rear wheel many years ago after hitting a particular deep pothole and taking a chunk out of the inside edge, looked brand new when it came back 3 days later cost then was £50 but that was like 8 years ago so their recent quote is about the same.

One thought though, get a good check made of the lower arm as they are designed to bend in impacts like you have had, if it has your aliment will be right out now.
