Anyone been to one of these? I was snapped doing 36 in a 30 :mad: and have been offered this as an alternative to the old 3 points.

Do it mate! My sister-in-law had to do one for a 35 in a 30 - all she had to do was watch a video, listen to a copper waffle for a bit, and she got a keyring too!! :smw:

They offerred me 3 points (already got 3), a £60 fine, oh and another £55 fine from dvla as I was on the way to renew tax that had ran out a few days before. Decided to take the offer....................

I got offered this last year, but as it was 180 miles away from me (Lancashire) then it would have cost me in petrol, time off work, you STILL HAVE TO PAY, but you don't get the points. I'd have been paying about £180 at least!! Fook that, just have to drive carefully next time ;) :rofl: (Yeah, as if )

I had one recently, twice the speed limit and alleged dangerous driving. No video, just a boring class room sesion and a day an a half arguing with the woman "instructor" about all the tosh she was talking, to the point that the threatened to ban me from the course. Its all ten to two, two second gap and 28 in a thirty (in top gear so as not to strain the engine). I have never bitten my tongue so hard in my life.

I got caught last year while working in london. It was four in the morning an I was doing 50 in a 30!!! Thing was I thought it was a 60!!!!!!! It was on shooters hill going towards welling - tree lined road, no junctions etc and the ******* jumped out of a bush!!!! Told him the usual 'no traffic, no junctions officer' and he said I could have run over a fox!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Prick. 3 points and a 60 fine!!!!!!!

Defo take the course mate, my mate was offered this course but he chose the court to try and fight it and got 3 points and a hefty fine. DOH!!
