I'm going through my options for my first mods to my Zed. It's just had an uprated auto box fitted. Picking it up tomorrow!!! :D

I've nearly finished pricing up a body kit, about 2k.

However, I'm also looking at upgrading the suspension....

My wishlist so far is

Adjustable shocks

Rose jointed front arms

Upper front adjustable arms

Lower front adjustable arms

Front and rear lower anti-sway bars

Front and rear strut brace

Skyline brake upgrade

Poly Bushes

Anything else needed?? Done lots of reading up on the subject but still unsure on which shocks to fit. I really fancy some in car adjustable ones as I dont want a spine jolting ride all the time. Any ideas? KYB??? Tein??

Also where can I get Skyline brakes from?

Thanks for you help

Andrew :D

I'd save on the front lower arms initially and poly bush the whole car. The rear subframe ones are particularly important. You can now get a rear arm set too as well as the 'master' set from energy suspension.

Try GTR.co.uk for a 2nd hand set of R33/R34GTR brakes, or some of the traders on here do big brake upgrades.

You probably want to look at disabling the HICAS too if you're a keen driver.

I have all of those mods....apart from the rear strut bar. I do have the HICAS eliminator too.

The car is NOTHING like before. It tracks true and takes corners as if it were on rails.

The downside is a harsher ride - but maybe your roads are better than the farm tracks we have for roads round here.

A good bet for Skyline brakes are the Skyline specialist garages (Middlehurst, Abbey Motorsport) as they are always upgrading the Skylines and often have a set of GTR specs available (mine were from Abbey).

Good luck with it all......
