They do exactly what it says on the tin, or tupper ware as the case may be. Once you drive one in anger you will realise they are a real super car and the Z even if you gave it a 1000 hp would not live with it anywhere but a drag strip. They really are of a different relm. A true thorough bread.

P.S. is you friend married. Maybe I could chace her in my Noble once I buy it in the spring. :D :D

LOL I dont have 1000bhp and I cained it rolling at 40mph, I think you have that the wrong way round Mark.

It would take a good Z to beat one on a drag strip as they will do 0-100 in under 10 seconds, however rolling at 40 is like taking candy from a Baby, they only have a Mondeo engine with a pair of piss pot T28 tubs  ;)

I killed it big stylee in the mid range.

Yes she is married :headvswal

ive always liked the noble and the tvr's

then i bought a zed which brakes down just as fooking much lol

ROFL :D

Ain't that the spoken truth mate! Too right.

As for caining anything on a drag strip I have come to the conclusion after watching the 0-60 this year at Trax that racing anyone head to head is 99.9 percent driver and fook all to do with the car they are driving!

FFS...the Lambo driver did it for me, nice car mate but come back next year when you can post a time quicker than Metro Steve who would've cained yer ass!

6 Secs for a Lambo Diablo VT? Behave! Give it to the Stig FFS. ;)

The article in full...quite a good read :)

As I've said before, I think they're a cracking car that ticks all the boxes: Performance, styling, handling etc. etc. So...Zed vs Noble M12 GTO -3R...well as much as I love the Z32 (one of the best Japanese cars ever made IMO alongside the RX7 and Honda NSX) I'd choose the Noble every time. Now...V8 powered Z32 vs Noble M12 GTO -3R...well that's a more tricky prospect...isn't it Mark!? ;) :D Ahem!

They look great they handle fantastic, but the build quality is SHITE 5000 miles on the clock, turbo oil feed pipe leaked twice (not just an odd drop) and the carpets are piss wet through when it rains typical British rubish LOL  Would rather have a mini

I've got one thing to say to you Leigh, John and Leon. "Bast*rds!!!!!"

Are you working for the Devil or what. (Go on you know you what to.)

Mac what I ment was that the Noble has a fantastic chassis and delvers the power well. + its the quickest road legal car I've ever driven through the twistys and I'm sure you wouldn't live with me on the twisty's if I was in a Noble and you in your zed mate.

Hmmm difficult one this, I dunno you know Mark. Having the same size rear wheels as Iain on my Z improves the handling greatly. Before the Z into corners was let's just say more than a bit sloppy with its weight but when I had the wide arch and phat wheels fitted it was a different car.

P.S. I use the word 'Phat' over fat because it's the done thing nowadays! LOL :D

Timmy have you read my Garage specs. I have done just about as much as is possible to do to the Zed on handling and can honestly say my Zed handles really well for a Z.

I'd be willing to to stick my neck out and say it will proberbly handle better than Yours. The anti roll bars made are the biggest difference. Though I can now alter the camber, ride hight, firmness and toe in/ out of front and back. The car has then been set up at dp930 just the way I like it with a little under steer so as to get a little drift at high speed cornering and positive tight cornering, but in comparison to the noble even my Z feels agricultural in comparision.

Remember at the end of last year there was a magazine published call 25 of the best. It Road, Race Track and day to day tested what they call the best 25 cars of 2004. The three race tracks they used were Brans Hatch, Donninghton Park and Silverstone.

Among the cars were the latest TVR (not the one with the cut outs) the new scooby the Lambo (big one) the Noble and the Ferrari Enso. The Noble was a second a lap faster than the Enso at Donninghton and brands and marginally slower at Silverstone. We really are talking of a sorted chasis to the point that a Z could never attain. A real super car. Honnest.

Mark the wider track on the rear end that the Strosek makes to a Z is an amazing improvement to the cars handling, ask any owner how much better their car handles compared to a stock arch car.But you will need more than that to make the car handle.RJ tension rods also help in a big way.

The ultimate mod is the Tein flex with the EDFC at over £1000 for the kit it takes the piss out of any shocks and springs that are available for a Z IMHO :D

Now I am not saying my car will handle better than the Noble m12,however when I kicked its arse it was NOT on a big straight as that is where my car comes into a class of its own with the breath taking mid range power it produces.

Take the pair of them on a motorway and that would be like comparing a TT to a NA Z

Try and drive the Noble in the wet,the car has to go to bed as soon as it starts to rain as it has no traction control and water pisses in through the rivets that hold the floor pans in place.

I don't think the Z will ever be a track car no matter what you do to it!

The Noble is a fantastic track car make no mistake however I am speaking from the experiance of a good friend of mine that went out and paid 50k for a brand new one,and for the problems that the car has given with less that 5000 miles on the clock is LAUGHABLE of a car costing that much from new.

If the Noble M12 is honestly the fastest car you have driven then you need to sit your arse in my 14 year old Nissan  ;)

Stock car doesn't handle Ian.

I got them, but still think anti roll bars the biggest improvement anyone can make to a Z.

You don't have to convince me on the merits of these. Had I not had a fleasing over various works they would have been on my car by now.

When I get mine we can put that to the test :D ;)

Yep I wouldn't expect to live with you there, but a Z with T28's roller bearing, 555 injectors, aggresive JWT chip, Bigger coolers, polished inlet and exhaust manifolds, running 16psi with about a dustbin and a half of uselesss crap removed and 275 rear tyres wouldn't live with the Noble either. (I know this cause I got one)

I don't think the Z will ever be a track car no matter what you do to it!.

I did three weeks ago and although I didn't seriously cain it like I have on a circuit. I felt more confident in the wet than I do in my Z. Though that may be phsycological as I've had oppersit lock on so many times during my ownership and have respect for it. :D :D (The Noble felt fine)

Come on Ian I've spent over thirty grand on my Z and it's constantly needing more money thrown at it. I thought that was the way of perfomance cars.

Anyway the silver one I was out in didn't leak or steam up and if any bits of body work come off you just get the Airfix Polystyrene Cement out and Stick it back on.

I said the fastest Road car and it is(as in from A to B). Its not the most powerful and its not the most trick. Its about poise balance and down right brutal cornering ablitiy. That regardless how brave and reckless I was at Brans Hatch, with a Noble that wasn't mine and all that space, well I couldn't find the point of no return. Yet at the end of the session my ribs were bruised as though I'd done ten minutes with Mike Tyson.

Its a totally different experience to the Z, But it ticks the boxes I want ticking.

I say Tein flex is the best handling mod, stock shocks and springs is the first thing to junk for better handling IMHO

Good that you dont need convincing as these are the ultimate IMHO

Give me a shout when you do,I will be more than happy to prove it LOL

I would not expect it too,ChrisC had 400rwhp running that set up and I have to say in all honesty it never gave any where near the punch that mine does

My mate who has this Noble said you cant cain it in the wet,but at the end of the day the same applies to a stock Z. probably a lot more big powered RWD cars too Now an Evo 7 or a Scooby doo are fantastic in the wet.

Mark I have spent double that on mine and when you choose to throw big bucks modding a car then you have got to expect that at some point it will bite you hard in the arse!

Come on Mark I am talking about a brand new car straight out the tin without any mods.

It went back to the garage when the carpets were piss wet through and they said yes we are aware of this problem but there is nothing we can do about it until Noble put it right from the factory  I would have shoved his face in it if my new car leaked from the floor pans.

I said the fastest Road car and it is(as in from A to B).

Not it the wet its not! Infact I would say a Scooby doo would kick its arse on some piss wet twistys :o

Exactly and thats all that matters, no differant from the extreme I have gone to and many people would not have done what I have done to my car,but it has really made me happy in doing so and I am very pleased with the results so far,but at the end of the day is poor build quality a thing we have to expect from British fiberglass performance cars?

Then my mission will be to have the most unleakyest Noble in the country  . I recon in the long run it'll be more rewarding to me, because I love my Z, but I'm sure I hate it as much. Its like having another woman.

Ya know what they say. "Living with 1 woman = Headhache. Living with 2 Women = migrain"

so I'll just have a fast plastic pig out side instead :D :D
