Awkward Insurance company

Help....

I've recently (1 week) purchased a uk supplied 300ZX with a Nissan CUR 20-GB alarm/immobiliser fitted. I've had a look around to find some more info about this system but no luck, does anyone know if it's Thatcham approved etc or any other info.

Thanks for the address.

Have had a good look around but no luck. If I can't find anything then it looks like it may be a case of changing insurance companies or having a new alarm/immobiliser fitted.

That said, the car is great (finally got around to fulfilling a dream). Great forum as well...

Try getting in contact with an audio / alarm shop. They may be able to identify the alarm by looking at circuits etc on the car and issue you with a CAT1 certificate. I had one done on mi bimmer a couple of weeks ago. It cost me £20 so its not expensive. The people who done it were In Car World in Chelmsford, but I'd imagine any local shop would do it.

Check with Bob at www.safeandsoundchester.co.uk. I gave him the service manual for Nissan alarms which included the model you have.
