Tottally random thread here...Ive never been one for eating when I get up first thing in the morning and prefer to wait till im at work bout 7-9am before I get any food.

I figure i can leave the soggy cereal and burnt toast and opt for Cheese & Bacon sarnies or hot steak pies or cornish pasties and so on :D

 

SO who eats breakfast at home...and who waits till the bakers??? :)

i have both - bowl of cereal and glass of juice first thing, then a big mofo fry-up at work, about half ten. tend to skip lunch tho.

No breakfast for me just BLACK STRONG COFFEE real stuff not freeze dried b***ocks,then i eat at about 10pm at night and i,m still a fat fooker..... there is something to be said about metablism caus i know people who stuff the entire contents of a cake shop all day long and they are skinny gits (JUST NOT FAIR !!!) :headvswal :mad: :shock: :mac1:

Well caffeine screws up your metabolisim and eating before you go to bed is also bad. You're on a loser.

Four rounds of toast and Marmite at 5:30 every morning, followed by a BIG sausage and egg bap at about 7:30am, a pack-up lunch full of rubbish throughout the day, and a big meal at around 7pm :D.

I try never to eat after 9pm, and I am a skinny git!!

 

Mind you, the belly has started growing since I gave up the ciggies :(

Breakfast consists of a cup of strong tea first thing, followed by about 8 cups of coffee at work. All with at least 3 spoons of sugar. :wack: Sets me up for a big lunch in the cafe at work at about 2pm :D

 

I never get up in time to make any breakfast, and by the time I get to work it's usually 'full-on' until about 2.

 

However, if someone was to shove a sausage and egg sandwich under my nose it would not survive :D

Don't eat breakfast myself - get something mid morning.

 

 

And the 'metabolism' thing is not really true - everyone has the same metabolism.

Really???.....I thought they varied due to some bodily part functioning differently....but then im no scientist so whats the answer please...

 

ps...Dont laugh at this but I've noticed that when I hammer the Marmite for several weeks my finger nails and hair seem to grow faster...or is it just my imagination?

My old man says (virtually) everyone has the same metabolism and being fat or thin is not due to a variation in metabolism (and he's professor of gasterenterology and specialises in the human diet).

 

Body size is determined by a simple equation with the calorific value of what you eat on one side and the calories you expend on the other.

 

I think what does vary biologically is cues of satiety - ie when people feel full.

I work shifts so up at various times?.

No brekkie for me though, well put it this way............

on a typical 2-10 shift

up at 9:30 cup of tea

work at 14:00 cup of tea (x6)

2 kebabs to be ate about 21:00hrs

finished at 22:00 hardly walking after eating

pee about on the tin'ternet till anbout 02:30-04:00 (if playing online games)

maybe fit a can of coke and some chocky in? when online

 

crap diet or what??

 

6-2 shift, skip breakfast, lunch and eat about 19:00 :wack:

 

The trick is I smoke :headvswal

At work we have 2 food vans that come around about 9am so i have a sausage, bacon and cheese baguette with brown sauce freshly cooked £2.45 Bargain. Yummmy.
