Well was over on the mainland to Birmingham at the weekend, popped over to Jeffs at Zedworld whilst i was there to sort me oil leaks out and cambelt swap, great service, cheers mate ;)

Met up with JD saturday afternoon and headed for WRC-Tech in Silverstone who have fast achieved good feedback for their RR sessions.

Had around 25 Porsches in having a shoot out, which was quite impresive to see and despite them finishing later than expected, the owner agreed to stay open whilst JD and their mapper Chris played with me car, end result was a reasonable 414.4 bhp and a highly impresssive 475lb of torque.

Being late, meant i missed me boat, but it was worth it :p

Huge thanks to John  i'll be back again mate for some more fine tuning ;)

cheers

Just been speaking to John on the blower about it mate, sounds like it was a great day and well worth the journey! Some great results there! :)

No probs mate, it's 65 plus vat for a dyno run, 40 quid on shoot out days and 122 quid plus vat for mapping sessions per hour or part there off and you have the use of his guys.

One thing the controller/driver said though, he was well impressed with the clutch holding 475lb of torque with ease after loads of runs, that will be the RPS then :D honestly :p

Bubbles, all mines been fitted a while now, certainly seems good and made setting up some of the geometry real easy too

Thanks fellas.

cheers

Was a good day actually. Great to see and hear things like the 996 GT3RS run up. An old (1978) 930 turbo made an impressive if laggy 510bhp (in a 1050kg car!). The porsche guys were actually pretty friendly too.

Well impressed with WRC tech. Really top blokes. Very helpful guys with loads of motorsport experience, but no bulls*t. They certainly won't try to sell you a super AFC :D Dyno setup is excellent and they also do suspension alignment too. Definately recommended.

Nice result out of Paul's car, although heat soak is a problem. May have been a bit more in it if we cooled the I/C before the final run. The one after that with exactly the same setup was down 10bhp. Not too sure yet what the flat spot at 5500 is. We couldn't map it out no matter what we tried, so it's probably related to intake or exhaust pulse tuning or something. Managed to about 1/2 the width of it by moving the VTC point around but nothing would reduce it! Very odd.

Another thing that was very ineresting is that the 'trick' of removing the throttle stop is not so good after all. It gained about 25bhp by putting it back. Guess it must direct the air into the plenum in a way that improves the distribution or stops charge robbing?! Either way a surprise!

My zed is soon to be fettled with by JD. especially as i have found my boost control solenoid. AND no its not yours CJ :D

ooh..now that is interesting...Im off to put mine back then (although did'nt really notice any difference with it removed anyway)

There figures at the wheel of crank/fly?

Did you get round to dyno'ing yours Stuart?
