I having trouble with my printer, i cannot bring up the on screen print moniter thing it comes up with there is a connection error, check usb cable. I have replaced it with new cable and still it says the same, also one of my inks have run out but without the computer telling me which one i dont know :confused: . Can anybody shed any light or is it new printer time?? Thanks in advance.

if you get a msg on screen that says " the parts inside this printer have reached the end of their service life" and the all the lights on your printer flash on and off and you cant use the fkn thing... let me know. i can give you a copy of the epson reset software.

 

basically everytime you use an ink in the printer there is a chip that counts it. also when the heads are cleaned. after a certain amount of counts this happens.

 

all that needs to be done is to open the printer base , take out the ink collection sponge, and give it a damn good clean in some warm soapy water, let it dry completely then put back in, then run the reset app and it will put the chip back to zero on all settings... bingo no epson repair crap...

and a printer thats set to new again... :smash:

If this "end of service life" applies to my Epson RX425 then I'll hace a copy of the reset software please.

 

I go through ink like nobody's business and must change the cartridges once a fortnight!!!!

What if your not using the chipped cartriges? How does the print engine detact low ink ect

epson printers do the same on epson originals or compatibles. after the elapsed count it will show that prompt.
