Guys,

I have been recommended the Dot 5.1 Motul fluid when i have my braided lines done, does anyone know where i can get this stuff from, can only find places in US but they wont ship as its flammable??

Also how much you need, is it 3 cans?

Dan.

Defo dot4 bud

Iirc dot 5 is silicone based, therefore all the seals in your braking system would need changing to a suitable material............don't do it.

use a quality dot4

I thought there was Dot 5 and Dot 5.1, one is silicone and you should keep away, the other is just an improvement on the Dot 3/4

Just to throw my two-peneths worth in, I'm gonna be going for Motul RBF600 Racing brake fluid when I change my brakes. It has great high boiling points and is Dot 4 compatible. Apparently you need about 1 and 1/2 litres for a full change, so 2 to be on the safe side! The cheapest place I've found to buy this is http://www.camskill.co.uk - despite the 8 quid carriage, they still work out slightly cheaper than Demon Tweaks!!
