:cry: Such a shame - he was an honest and genuine guy and I loved his rubbish jokes (and ties). 4,000 episodes of Countdown and it was still going strong!

I was strangely un-moved...sorry. Carol was looking very sad though, needed a hug.........

Oh dear I've just read the BBC web site. Feel quite emotional now. Seemed like a good bloke. I don't have a TV so please excuse me. Waste too much time!

Just watched that vid on the BBC site - well.. the first few minutes.. Carol was looking very upset, like she was going to burst into tears at any minute..

 

Hate seeing people like that - hence only watching the first couple of mins!
